Occasional intensive sitting practice is essential to the development of a strong connection to meditation. On the first Saturday of each month PBMG hosts First Saturday Sitting, beginning at 9:00 in the morning, and concluding at 3:00 in the afternoon. The morning focuses on sitting and walking meditation, and occasionally some other body awareness exercises. Over lunch, we maintain silence and practice mindfulness of eating (a vegetarian meal is provided at no charge). In the afternoon, we screen a DVD Dharma teaching by Anam Thubten Rinpoche. All are welcome. Even if you can only come for part of the day, please feel free to join us for as long as you can.
